This module helps you uncover the unconscious patterns you inherited from your caregivers.

A core first part of reparenting your inner child—or parenting differently than you were parented—is starting to understand the blueprint you were given. Through reflection, science-backed tools, and guided exercises, you’ll begin identifying what you want to keep, what you want to release, and what you want to rewrite.

Learning Outcomes:
By the end of Module 1, you will:
• Understand how your upbringing shaped your adult emotional responses
• Identify your “parenting autopilot” patterns
• Recognize messages you absorbed about emotions, worth, and relationships
• Begin mapping the patterns you want to change
• Learn the first grounding practice of the course: The Parent Pause

IN THIS LESSON
Before you became a parent—or even thought about becoming one—you were already forming a blueprint. This lesson introduces the emotional inheritance we all receive and how it shapes our parenting patterns today.

What You’ll Learn:
• What a “parenting blueprint” is
• Why awareness is the foundation of reparenting
• How your childhood messages influence your reactions

What You’ll Need:
• Notebook or notes tab to jot down the parts of this video lesson that resonated most—as repetition is key for learning—and to start listing your purest intentions for enrolling in this course.
Please note: Based on prior feedback, the downloadable workbook for this course is separated by each module—so you’ll download one workbook that corresponds to Module 1 and its 6 lessons, one workbook that corresponds to Module 2 and its 6 lessons, etc. In total, that’s 6 separate workbooks you’ll download as PDFs that combined together total 120+ pages. Then you’ll also get an additional bonus workbook in Module 1, Lesson 3, and for the Bonus Module at the end of this course. The Module 1 workbook is available to download in the next lesson (i.e., Module 1, Lesson 2), but for the remaining Modules 2-6 + the Bonus Module, you’ll see the downloadable workbooks on the first lesson page of that corresponding module. To maximize your learning experiences, make sure to complete only the recommended page(s) after each corresponding video lesson—the corresponding workbook page(s) will be outlined in this “What You’ll Need” section and reviewed toward the end of each video lesson as well to guide you. :)

Helpful Reminder:
Your blueprint is not your fault. It is simply your starting point, and you can rewrite it with intention.
